Where is Casey Anthony now?

She is currently living in South Florida with Patrick McKenna, a private detective who worked as the lead investigator on her case in the 2011 trial in the death of her daughter, two-year-old Caylee. She’s also employed by McKenna, and she helps him with his current cases by doing social media searches and other types of investigative work, according to the Associated Press. McKenna is also known for his work on the O.J. Simpson case, the former NFL star who was charged and later acquitted in the death of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson.

What does Casey do?

Besides working as a researcher, the 31-year-old tried to start her own photography business last year. She started a Twitter account for her company — Case Photography LLC — but the page has not been active since August of last year. It seems like Casey ran the social media profile herself and was flooded with comments about her trial from other users and she decided to stop using the platform.

She made a rare public appearance to take a political stance.

Casey was spotted in the crowd outside of Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort during an anti-Trump protest. She did not give interviews, but she has said that she disagrees with the president’s views, according to local TV news station WPTV.

She’s “bored” with life post-trial.

In recent weeks, Casey has been spotted out in her native Florida on multiple occasions — often socializing and drinking with her friends. Even so, she’s found herself bored with her life since she’s lived mostly in hiding for the past five years — though, she hasn't totally changed her ways.

“There were a lot of people who assumed that she’d someday make big money on her first interview,” a source recently told People. “And then she gave it away to the Associated Press. So there are all these people who thought that they were going to be part of it when she made the money, and then Casey went behind their backs and gave an interview for free. But that’s just classic Casey. She does what she wants, and everyone else just has to deal with it.”

Another source alleged that Casey may be free — but she doesn’t get to enjoy “freedom” like most people. “There are days that she’s bored out of her mind,” the second source said. “There’s nothing really to do. She doesn’t have a huge circle of friends, and the friends she has are all employed elsewhere, so she doesn’t see them 24/7. She binge-watches TV, plays around on the Internet, and doesn’t do much more than that. Frankly, it’s all pointless and aimless.”
