Brazilian President Fernando Henrique Cardoso has for his part sent condolences to the dead men's families.
If Mr Guerreiro is convicted of the murders, he faces a sentence of up to 30 years in prison and extradition to Portugal, Brazilian police said.

Oldie time crime # 1 Goeie Mie (1880)

Maria Catherina Swanenburg (in some sources her name is given as “Van der Linden" or "van de Linden")  (1839 - 1915) was a Dutch serial murderer. She was affectionately given the nickname of “Goeie Mie” (Dutch for “Good Me”), which she got for taking care of children and ill people in the poor neighborhood of Leiden in which she lived. After “Goeie Mie” was caught poisoning a family by the name of Groothuizen the murderess was arrested December 15, 1883. The investigation of her crimes looked into more than 90 suspicious deaths and lasted more than eighteen years. Maria’s first victims were her own parents whom she murdered in 1883. The majority of her poisoning victims survived. Twenty-seven died; forty-five survived. But many of them were crippled for life. For decades Goeie Mie’s poisoning victims could be seen navigating about Leiden on crutches.

Her motivation is usually given as money. Swanenburg, like scores of other female serial killers caught in nations across the globe, insured her victims before murdering them with poison. Yet Swanenburg never spent the blood money she gained from the deaths. She was caught when trying to poison the family in December 1883.

On April 25, 1885. A remorseless Maria Swanenburg was found guilty and sentenced by the judge to prison, where she died in 1915.

Eva's journey

I had latched on to kidney or liver donation, grasping to the thought Eva would directly save a life. She’s not saving one like I dreamed of, but she will be changing one. We always knew organ transplant was only just a chance anyway, and a slim one at that. But we wanted to take it. Someone’s life is worth the chance. In some ways, though, I’m more excited about her eyes being her living legacy. I keep thinking about looking into them some day, but more than anything, about her eyes seeing her mom, dad and brother.

We always wondered things about Eva, like what color her hair would be, if she’d have Harrison’s nose, if she’d have dimples like her mama, or what color those eyes would be. In the time we spent with her, one was always just a little bit open, and I fought the temptation to peek. I can’t ever hold my daughter again. I can’t ever talk to her or hear her giggle. But I can dream about looking into her eyes for the first time one day, and finding out what color they are.

Serial Momster - Video Dailymotion

Serial Momster - Video Dailymotion: With some people she simply denied being pregnant despite her visible maternity belly. She acted offended at the suggestion. Following the tip-off police began an investigation. When asked about the pregnancies Sieske concocted a new yet easily disprovable fabrication. She claimed she had put the babies up for adoption. When, after stalling for months, she failed to provide documentation to support her claim she was finally arrested, Wednesday August 10. She confessed she had suffocated each of four (one had been born in 2003) newborn babies who were born alive and stored their tiny corpses in the attic. It was proposed during the April 2011 trial that two of the babies were stillborn despite the woman’s confession that she had smothered them all. In two of the cases Sietske had never bothered to buy any baby provisions. On October 11, 2012 her appeal hearing Ms. Hoekstra’s sentence, delivered in 2011, was reduced to 3 years in prison.

Top ten killers 1 Gertrude BANISZEWSKI - Video Dailymotion

Top ten killers 1 Gertrude BANISZEWSKI - Video Dailymotion: Gertrude Baniszewski (1929–1990), also known as Gertrude Wright and The Torture Mother, was an Indiana divorcee who oversaw and facilitated the prolonged torture, mutilation, and eventual murder of Sylvia Likens, a teenage girl she had taken into her home. The case is unique in that, while Baniszewski did play an active role in Likens' death, the majority of the torture that eventually brought about Likens' demise was carried out by Baniszewski's teenage children and other neighborhood children. Although Baniszewski did instruct the children on several occasions, it was later discovered that they took a large degree of Likens' torture into their own hands, in what would later be called a Lord of the Flies scenario come to life. When she was convicted of first degree murder in 1965, the case was called 'the single worst crime perpetuated against an individual in Indiana's history'.

The murder of Logan Marr - Video Dailymotion

The murder of Logan Marr - Video Dailymotion: Christy Darling is beside herself knowing that the woman who suffocated her kindergarten-age daughter 16 years ago will be released from prison in just over a month. Darling, 39, feels it’s more than an injustice; it tarnishes the memory of her daughter, Logan Marr. Sally Ann Schofield, who was convicted of manslaughter in Logan's death, is scheduled to be released from prison on probation in April. Sally Ann Schofield, 55, a former state child caseworker who suffocated the 5-year-old foster child with duct tape, was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to 17 years in prison. Schofield remains at the Maine Correctional Center in Windham and is due to be released on probation on April 25. “I can’t believe it’s happening,” Darling said in an interview. “There’s no peace and justice for (Logan). It just must be nice to walk around free knowing you killed a child while the rest of us sit around and suffer. It blows my mind.” Logan and her younger sister, Bailey, had been taken away from Darling – then known as Christy M. Baker – and placed at a series of foster homes before being moved to Schofield’s home in Chelsea. At the time, Schofield was a supervisor in the Maine Department of Health and Human Services, and the placement violated state rules. In 2002, Schofield was convicted of killing Logan a year earlier by wrapping the hysterical-acting child in 47 feet of duct tape, some of it covering her mouth. The girl was bound to a highchair and left alone in a basement, where she was later found unresponsive. After Logan’s death, Bailey was returned to her mother. The shocking case spurred reform throughout DHHS, leading to sweeping changes in Maine’s child welfare system, including an effort to place children with relatives rather than in foster care. The state continually has notified Darling of any change in Schofield’s status, and Darling has weighed in on some proposals, including objecting to a request from Schofield to be put on home confinement rather than remain in prison – a request that was later rejected. “I slammed my feet a million times on the floor,” Darling said. “They wanted to do it around Logan’s birthday. I said, ‘Oh, hell no.’ ” Logan was born on Oct. 14, 1995. The latest missive from the state to Darling was about Schofield’s imminent release from prison. An attempt to reach Schofield via family members was unsuccessful. A woman who answered the phone at Schofield’s husband’s home hung up. A policy on the Maine Correctional Center website says: “We do not accept incoming phone calls for prisoners.”

The murder of Daniel Pelka

The murder of Daniel Pełka occurred on 3 March 2012 in Coventry, England. Daniel, 4, died of a head injury. His mother, Magdalena Łuczak (27), and her partner, Mariusz Krężołek (33), were found guilty of the murder on 31 July 2013. On 2 August 2013, both Łuczak and Krężołek were jailed for life with a minimum sentence of 30 years each. Both died in prison, however, within three years of being sentenced. Daniel Pelka's biological parents, Łuczak and Eryk Pelka, separated in Poland, and his mother moved to Coventry in the United Kingdom with her new boyfriend in 2006, when she was pregnant. Daniel was born there. Łuczak and Krężołek starved the child, beat him, locked him in a room, force-fed him salt, and put his head underwater in the bath. He weighed only one stone nine pounds (10.4 kg) when he died. On 14 July 2015, Łuczak was found unresponsive in her cell at about 07:15 BST and was pronounced dead. An inquest held three days later revealed that Łuczak had hanged herself one day before what would have been Daniel's eighth birthday. At about 08.30 on 27 January 2016, Krężołek was found dead in his prison cell at Full Sutton Prison. https://openload.co/f/C53ekUUwujs/The_murder_of_Daniel_Pelka.mp4

Bullied to death Amanda Todds victim of sextorsion - Video Dailymotion

Bullied to death Amanda Todds victim of sextorsion - Video Dailymotion: According to the BBC, A 35-year-old man was officially charged in April 2014 in the Netherlands in connection with Amanda Todd’s suicide. According to the Canadian police, the unidentified suspect was charged with extortion, internet luring, criminal harassment and child pornography, Canadian police say. The Police also mentioned the suspect is involved in other abuse cases and not just the Amanda story. The Dutch newspaper Omroep Brabant reports materials seized at the suspect’s home put him in suspicion of other cases of online abuse involving in the Netherlands, the UK and the US. “Today marks a major milestone in our investigation,” said Inspector Paulette Friel of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. “A suspect has been identified, he has been arrested and he has been charged.” “The suspicions against the man are that he approached underage girls via the internet and then seduced them into performing sexual acts in front of a webcam,” Dutch prosecutors said in a statement, quoted by AP. Suspected targets include men who were allegedly convinced the man was an underage boy and were persuaded into performing sexual acts on camera. It took police almost two years to find only one suspect in the Amanda Todd cyber bullying case. It is to be remembered, that there are thousands of child predators in online chat rooms who are taking advantage of sweet young boys and girls everyday. This is why Amanda Todd’s story should serve as a wake up call for children everywhere. Carol Todd, Amanda’s Mother says that the rise in cyber bullying is happening due to the rise in social media platforms that allow the user to remain anonymous which makes the bully anonymous. “Technology has ramped it up so much that there are no boundaries,” Todd said. “It’s so faceless and they are free to say whatever, they’re free to say and do whatever without thinking about it.” It is worth noting here that the origin of Amanda’s story started when, according to Amanda’s viral Youtube video, she had been coerced online in 2010 to flash her breasts, and the resulting image was used against her and circulated on the Web and at school. “The picture was put out there on the Internet and then all of a sudden, her peers started harassing her, both face-to-face bullying and online, so she had to endure that kind of abuse,” Todd said to Foxnews. “She was afraid to go to school, people were looking at her, she developed more depression, social anxiety. She was afraid people were watching her all the time.” It is worth mentioning that in Canada, the criminal code’s general harassment provision includes the prosecution of cyber bullying. Many U.S. States have also incorporated laws that specifically target cyber bullying and harassment.
